Statue of Unity 2-Day Itinerary: Best Places to Visit, Stay & Travel Plan

Information
17-10-2026

Most people do the Statue of Unity in one day and go home tired, with a feeling they missed half of it. They did. The complex is big, the attractions are spread out, and the good bits aren't all next to each other. Give it two days and it becomes a different trip. Below is a plan for an overnight visit: what to do each day, where to sleep, and how to work out the money.

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ Is a 2-Day Trip to the Statue of Unity Worth It?

If you're coming with kids or parents, yes. A same-day return means a long drive back in the dark, and nobody enjoys the last attraction while watching the clock. Couples and friends get more out of two days too, mostly because the evenings at Ekta Nagar are the nicest part.

If you only have one day, we've written that version separately: the Statue of Unity 1-day itinerary. This one is for people who don't want to rush.

๐Ÿ“ Day 1: Statue of Unity and Main Attractions

Get to the statue early. It's cooler, the queues are shorter, and you'll need the energy. Walk around the base first, then go up to the Viewing Gallery. The view over the Narmada and the dam is why most people come, so take your time with it. The statue and the gallery together will use up a big chunk of your morning.

Next, the Sardar Sarovar Dam viewpoints. Quick stops. Look, take a photo, move on.

Lunch at Ekta Mall or one of the cafes inside the complex. After that you'll be sluggish, so pick easy things. The Valley of Flowers is about an hour's walk and has been free to enter. The Cactus and Butterfly Garden takes roughly another hour, and kids tend to like the butterflies more than they expect to.

In the evening there's the Glow Garden and the laser show, if they're running on your dates. Check first. Don't build your whole day around something that turns out to be closed.

๐ŸŒฟ Day 2: Explore More Places Around Ekta Nagar

Do the Jungle Safari first thing. It takes around two hours, it's cooler in the morning, and you'll be glad it's finished before the heat. With small kids, it might end up being the highlight of the trip, ahead of the statue.

After that, slow down. Arogya Van is quiet and shady, and good if you like herbal plants. Ekta Nursery has a tribal cafe serving thalis, which makes a better lunch than another packet of chips.

If there's time left, choose one thing: boating at Nauka Vihar, which is about 45 minutes, the Dino Trail, which is about an hour and mostly for children, or a cycle ride along the riverfront. Not all three. You still have to check out and get home, and a rushed last stop is worse than a skipped one.

๐Ÿจ Where to Stay Near the Statue of Unity

Close to Ekta Nagar saves you the back and forth. Further out saves money. That's most of the decision. Think about how many of you there are, how much walking your group can handle, and whether you'll be back early or out until the show ends. Families with older relatives should stay close. A group of friends who won't be in the room anyway may not care.

You'll find hotels, resorts and tent stays around Kevadia. You can see our listings on the site, and our page on booking a tour package with a hotel near the Statue of Unity explains how combined bookings work. Rooms go fast on weekends and festival dates, so look early. And don't trust a price you saw on a forum last year.

๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Ticket Booking Tips for a Two-Day Trip

One ticket doesn't cover everything. Statue entry, the Viewing Gallery, the Jungle Safari and the others are all separate, and what's included can differ. Decide your two days first, then buy what you'll actually use.

Our Statue of Unity ticket price guide has the current options. If you'd rather have transport, tickets and a room sorted together, look at the Statue of Unity tour packages.

๐Ÿ’ฐ How Much Does a 2-Day Statue of Unity Trip Cost?

I won't quote a total here, because it would be wrong by next month. Add up five lines instead: tickets, the room, food, local transport, and getting to Ekta Nagar.

Use current prices for each, multiply by the number of people where it applies, and you've got a real figure. The room is usually the biggest swing. Splitting one across a family brings the per-head cost down a lot.

๐Ÿš— Travel Tips for Planning Your Visit

Check attraction timings a few days before you leave, since they can change. Weekends mean queues. According to the official travel information, private vehicles aren't allowed into the core attraction zone, so you'll use the free electric buses once you're inside. Wear shoes you can walk in and carry water. If there's one thing you really want to do, confirm it's open before you set off.
